Some French from two different episodes of 30 vies…
Ariane (a teacher) explains to some colleagues why she thinks that a student called Mélanie is fighting with the other girls in her class:
Si Mélanie est en chicane avec les filles de sa classe, c’est pour protéger sa sœur.
Because the girls are fighting with each other and not getting along, you could say that they’re en chicane.

A character called Vincent is talking about Georges. (Georges isn’t there with him.) When Georges suddenly appears just as Vincent is talking about him, Vincent says:
Oh! parlant du loup…
It’s the equivalent of “speak of the devil” — used when someone that you’re talking about happens to appear. It comes from the proverb en parlant du loup, on en voit la queue.

A mother orders her young daughter to go to her room: Va dans ta chambre! She also tells her simply: Dans ta chambre! In another scene, a school principal orders a student to go to his office as punishment: Toi, dans mon bureau!
