There are currently 90 videos and transcripts here, and I periodically add more. The videos at the end of the list are always the most recent ones. Want to hear a specific word pronounced in French?

You can use the Listen to Québécois French section to hear a specific word pronounced by a Québécois speaker. For example, let’s say you wanted to hear a Québécois speaker pronounce the word pogner. Copy-paste this into Google:

site:offqc.com/listen pogner

All the videos in the Listen to Québécois French section that contain this word will appear in the Google search results. Pick a link, and follow it back to OffQc. You can locate the word in the video itself with the help of the transcript. To search for a different word, just change pogner to that word in the search terms above.

Increase your understanding of spoken Québécois French

I’ve written five downloadable guides for you to work through, all aimed at increasing your understanding of spoken Québécois French and making you a better speaker of it. For example, Contracted French (with audio) will help you to make sense of the most important contractions used in spoken French. Without knowledge of these contractions, colloquial French will forever remain impenetrable. 1000 Québécois French will increase your vocabulary; it’s a condensed version of the first 1000 posts on OffQc.
